2015 – Sale
Schmolz + Bickenbach sells the distribution units in Austria, Germany, Benelux to JACQUET Metal Service. The trade division will continue under the old name for another two years. Also known by the nickname Schmobi.
2017 – Re-Branding
The naming rights for Schmolz+Bickenbach Distributions GmbH expire.
Founding of IMS-Trade GmbH January 2017.
2019 – Renaming
From IMS-Trade GmbH into: International Metal Service Trade GmbH.

Delivery reliability
With our “back-to-back” supply approach, shipments come directly from the steel mills to your production site. In addition, we set up buffer stocks and consignment warehouses close to our customers, ensuring just-in-time deliveries.
Global sourcing power
Independent of single mills, we purchase worldwiden from Europe to Asia (China, Korea, India, Türkiye, Czech Republic). As part of IMS and JACQUET METALS Group, we leverage global purchasing volumes to secure competitive conditions.
